Mobile Homes

Most older mobile homes need to be checked to see if they can be reinsulated. If the under-bellies of the homes have deteriorated or have been opened to repair plumbing and never sealed back properly, a large heat loss can arise due to exposure of the heating ducts. We insulate the under-bellies with cellulose and repair them properly. Once done, the floors of the home are noticeably warmer and utility bills drop since the furnace no longer works as hard to heat the home. Some homes also need ceiling insulation. This can be done using the Dense-Pack method to fill void areas with cellulose insulation. The cellulose will also act to avoid moisture build-up in the voids. Most mobile home roofs need sealed because manufactured seams crack after years of heating and cooling. We also install new exterior windows and doors. We can also do a Blower Door Tests to check air infiltration. This will determine where air leaks are so the technician or homeowner may seal them.
